Ogłoszenie: Elite Graduate Program for East European Studies

Uniwersytet Ludwika i Maksymiliana w Monachium oraz Uniwersytet w Ratyzbonie ogłaszają elitarny program studiów (z możliwością nauki na obydwu uczelniach) dla studentów zajmujących się m.in obszarem Europy-Wschodniej i studiami slawistycznymi. Zgłoszenia trwają do 14 czerwca 2018 roku.

Announcement: Elite Graduate Program for East European Studies

 

The interdisciplinary Elite Graduate Program for East European Studies is run jointly by Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and University of Regensburg and can be studies at both universities. For a start of the courses in winter semester 2018/19 you can apply for the Elite Graduate Program until June 14, 2018. Application requirements are a strong interest in Eastern and South Eastern Europe, basic knowledge of a language, spoken in this region, and a first university degree (generally BA).

 

Students acquire with a Master of Arts in East European Studies comprehensive regional competence. Apart from expert knowledge and language skills the Elite Graduate Program teaches key qualifications in an interdisciplinary project course, an internship and in exclusive soft skill courses of the Elite Network of Bavaria. Furthermore, students will have the opportunity to get to know Eastern Europe in a summer academy.

 

The following subjects can be studied in the Elite Graduate Program:

 

  • History of Eastern and South Eastern Europe (at both universities)
  • Slavonic Studies (at both universities)
  • General and Comparative Literature Studies (at both universities)
  • Political Science (at LMU Munich)
  • European Ethnology (at LMU Munich)
  • Jewish History and Culture (at LMU Munich)
  • Turkish and Ottoman Studies (at LMU Munich)
  • Law (at University of Regensburg)
  • Economics (at University of Regensburg)

Students of the Elite Graduate Program profit from close cooperations with important Bavarian research institutions on Eastern Europe, like for example Collegium Carolinum in Munich (http://www.collegium-carolinum.de/), the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (http://www.ios-regensburg.de/), and the Department Eastern Europe of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek (https://www.bsb-muenchen.de/sammlungen/osteuropa/). Especially strong ties exist between the Elite Graduate Program and the Graduate School for East and Southeast European Studies (www.gs-oses.de) in Munich and Regensburg.
